Frequently Asked Questions
My Excel Academy’s priority is to provide you all of the material you need to excel in the workplace.
We focus on the content that matters. Through our bite-sized video lessons & iterative assessments, your engagement will be high and your retention will be even higher.
With our downloadable resources, on-demand video lessons & 1-on-1 instructor support, we will ensure you understand and master any aspect of Excel you are looking to tackle.
It’s a good question as subscription models don’t always make sense.
My Excel Academy’s mission is to maximize student’s learning and retention while saving them both time and money. We use a subscription-based model for three main reasons:
- We offer 1-on-1 instructor support to students. This means if you have any questions related to any course or Excel (generally speaking), Kyle will personally help you. He can help you troubleshoot personal worksheet issues or even help with complex functions or formulas for your specific application.
As we want to offer this service to our students, it is only sustainable to offer it to students who are actively learning.
- A subscription-based model drives the need to take action. By signing up at My Excel Academy, you are coming prepared to learn with a goal of finishing your course(s) in the time frame you set for yourself.
- Other courses may offer ‘lifetime access’ to artificially inflate their price. Realistically, once you work through all of the content, chances are you won’t need to refer back to the training materials very often, if at all. So although you may have only needed, say, 3 months to finish all of the content a course has to offer, you’ve technically paid for ‘lifetime access’.
With that said, the subscription-based model helps keep our prices competitive.
If you are not satisfied for any reason, we offer a full refund within the first 30 days of your purchase with no questions asked, as long as you haven’t completed at least 50% of any individual course.
For full details on our refund policy, please see our Terms and Conditions page.
To practice what you learn, you would need to have a copy of Microsoft Excel available.
All of our courses are filmed with Office 365 on a PC and the topics taught here will translate to versions of Excel as old as Excel 2010.
There may be instances in older versions where some of the functions may not exist or the user interface is slightly different, but this will be very infrequent.
My Excel Academy is available on all devices. Once you sign up, you will have instant access.
Although we recommend learning while at a computer alongside all of the resources we provide, you can watch our video lessons anywhere. So if you need a quick refresher or you want to learn on-the-go, you have the option to do so!
My Excel Academy includes knowledge checks throughout the course to ensure you are learning and retaining knowledge.
Additionally, we have question banks at the end of each course for you to test & refresh everything you’ve learned.
Lastly, there are projects in each course that require you to put what you’ve learned to the test. These projects contain basic instructions that enable you to complete a set of tasks which will reinforce the majority of concepts covered within each course.
This depends on your style and pace of learning. Each course is self-paced, so there is no rush to finish a course.
Every course is slightly different in length and difficulty. You can find the estimated amount of time each course should take on each course page.
